Ernesto D. Morales

Founder + Creative Director

Ernesto puts strategy into action as a visual storyteller and problem-solver. He directs the creative team to build elegant solutions to intricate challenges—from the high-level concept to the granular details. Combining strategic planning with artistic sensibility, Ernesto channels the power of design to transform, inspire and delight.

After a Bachelor’s Degree in communication from Boston University, summa cum laude, he cultivated his design career working with clients and agencies in Boston, New York, and his family’s native Mexico City.

Ernesto lives in Austin, amid tacos and cedar allergies, with his wife, daughter and pup—and with another babe on the way this autumn!

What's that name again? An origin story from Ernesto:

Malagón was the name of my first taxi driver in Mexico City. Having visited my family's hometown all my life, I was finally exploring the city on my own in early adulthood. It was this pivotal moment of honing in on my ambitions, figuring out what I wanted to do with my life and career.

Of course, Malagón turned out to be a fake ID: the driver in the picture was some 30 years older than my actual driver. But still, I saw it as a kind of symbol. It was this moment of embracing adventure, flexing new identities.

That’s the spirit that I try to bring to my work every day.
